Community Based Area Forums -
including Market & Coastal Towns Initiatives (MCTIs)
The
Market and Coastal Town Initiative (MCTi) is a community led
regeneration initiative, funded by the South West Regional
Development Agency.
In
addition, CPR Regeneration, the Urban Regeneration Company
for Camorne, Pool and Redruth runs a similar initiative for
its area and there are other area forums and partnerships,
also run along the same lines.
MCTIs
and area forums are not grant programmes to fund projects,
although there may be some money to help projects develop.
They are community led initiatives helping people organise
themselves to prepare and put into practice a plan for the
future of their town and surrounding area.
Their
plans will cover all parts of community life and should look
20 to 30 years ahead, setting out a vision of what the area
should be like and what it will be like as a resident to live
there.
